ENVIRONMENT CONCERNS

Marine Petrobulk is also acutely aware of its responsibilities regarding the environment. Petrobulk is registered with the Canadian Coast Guard certified response organization, Burrard clean, and regularly updates the training and knowledge of its crews.

Our barges are in compliance with Transport Canada and United States Coast Guard regulations. The barge operations are certified by our Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan and Oil Spill Prevention Plan for barges.

Marine Petrobulk is in compliance with the State of Washington's "Best achievable Protection standards" and participates in the Washington States Maritime Cooperatives Oil Spill Exercises.

Currently Marine Petrobulk Ltd., is a member of Washington State Department of Ecology's Voluntary Best Achievable Protection (BAP) Program for Tank Barges.
